Sponsor A Puppy To Become A Guide Dog
Are you looking to make a difference to someone’s life but don’t know how? One of the most needy charities right now is the Guide Dog for the Blind Association, they are desperately seeking donors to sponsor guide dogs. Guide dog training is very expensive, and it takes new puppies around 24 months to learn everything they need to, so they really need your help. There are around 10,000 blind or partially sighted people who could benefit from having a guide dog, so sponsoring a puppy to become one is a marvelous sacrifice for anyone.
It’s really easy to sponsor a guide dog, all you have to do is fill in your details on the online form, agree to donate a minimum of 5 pounds a month and you’re set. All of your money will go to be spent on training the puppy you choose, so you can be sure it’s money well spent. Sponsoring a guide dog is so worthwhile, and you can enjoy it’s progress as much as we do through regular monthly ‘pupdates’, photos and more. Another advantage of joining the puppy sponsorship scheme is that you’ll receive a special gift pack for your puppy that includes a puppy photo card, a photo album, a certificate, a calendar and a window sticker so you can show the world what you are doing. Sadly, you won’t be able to actually meet your puppy in real life, as it will be far too busy with it’s day to day training to have time to receive visitors. "beware of dog" sign legal ramifications?
If I place a "beware of dog" sign on my fence as an additional deterrence from a B&E [I have an alarm system and have stickers on all of my windows and doors], am I acknowledging that my dog is aggressive and could that be held against me or my dog if he bites someone who is attempting to break into my house or enter my property without my consent?
My dog is so not aggressive, he loves everyone and anything, but he's a german shepherd/husky/blue heeler mix and will be over 100 pounds when he's full grown. My cat is more aggressive then he is.

Answer:
You are basically saying that your dog will attack if someone breaks in. The sign says that you're aware that your dog can be aggressive, but it also says that the thieves are aware and it works as a warning. "Don't say I didn't warn ya!" ;p
The real point is just to keep thieves away and it works unless they're completely stupid. Not only can dogs be mean, but they bark and alert others of the break-in.
I've seen people without dogs have those signs just as a deterrent. Whatever works.
Hypothetically speaking, if someone got badly hurt (Very very badly hurt) from your dog during a break-in and he showed extreme aggression in his attack and wouldn't stop, the city will have to consider many things to determine if your dog is a threat to others. (He might have to wear certain muzzles and stay out of certain places) but that's very, very, very unlikely. In most cases where that happens, they rule that the dog was under a stress that's unlikely to happen in normal situations.
Since your dog is friendly, it's very unlikely, and those signs are so common that they've lost all real meaning, don't sweat it! ^^
