How Letterpress Wedding Invitation Printing Works
Can Your Print Company Give You What You Need?
If you own a business that you would like to promote or organize an event for, you would probably need the services of a printing Melbourne company. There are a number of different companies out there that you can contact. Choosing the right printing service provider however is not as straightforward or as easy as customers would like it to be.
Most clients look first at what printers have to offer. You can’t get away though with just making a choice based on the services offered and how much they cost. What you really need to consider first and foremost is how well a company can address the specific needs and concerns of your project.
Before you pick a printer company, ask yourself first what your goal is for a specific printing task. You might want to determine first if what you want is a brochure or a flyer or maybe a two page newsletter or mini magazine. Once you’ve determined the general direction of a project, you then have to assess specific details. Outline the number of copies needed, design, schedule of delivery and point of delivery or installation.
The best printing service is the one that specializes in the task at hand. It should be noted that printers don’t all perform well in various printing tasks. If you want to specifically have advertising tools printed, then you need a company that specializes in this specific area. If you don’t choose carefully, you may have to deal with a printing company Melbourne expert that’s more of an expert in signage printing.
Aside from assessing the specialty of a company, you’d also need to look into what additional value a company can provide. The best services have extra options that you might want to pay some additional fees for. The usual additional service offered is material planning and design. This is a good option for business owners who aren’t well versed in printing procedures and therefore only have a hazy idea of the end result in mind. Services with value added in them can provide good advice from advertising concept to material appearance.
The period before printing starts is not the only part where a printer company can provide extra help with. They can also offer help after a printing task is done. The most relevant extra services here are distribution, storage and inventory. Your printer can keep track of delivery schedules and stocks.
Post printing options are good if you have a fairly big project and if you don’t want the final output to be sent to you all in one bulk. You may want printed materials to be delivered to you in small groups. Hence, you need a company that can take care of storing and tracking material delivery. With a printer that can offer these, you can stop worrying over your project. That gives you more time to focus on the core of your business.
You can’t just pay for the services of any print company. You have to make sure first and foremost that it is the best provider for you needs. If you skip evaluating your options, you could end up with a bad print job.

Frequently Asked Questions...
I am trying to print A9 size invitation envelopes on my printer and it keeps jamming.?
My printer is an HP Photosmart 8250 and the envelopes are 5 3/4 x 8 3/4. I have them decorated and personalized but my printer keeps jamming them. How can I set my printer to accept these? I have windows xp. There is no A9 option for envelopes on my printer settings but there is A5 and A6. Please help, I called HP and they did not understand my issue.
Answer:
What you need to do to stop them jamming is to flatten the envelops first on a flat table, This will remove the air in the envelope itself. Now try it. It should work perfectly
Secondly, that particular printer only supports No. 10 envelop which is the normal everyday type of envelop 9.5" x 4.1". I ti will not support other size of envelopes.
But, if you do like I say, take the air out, it should work and not jam the printer at all.
Use the A5 settings as well.:-)
