Frequently Asked Questions...
vinyl sticker removal?
I'm gonna help my friend take some vinyl stickers off the windows of her truck. shouldn't they come off pretty easy with just a razor blade?
Answer:
You can use a razor blade (fresh one one every so often) if they are fairly new.
If the letters tear easy, are brittle, etc. A hair dryer or heat gun can make them more plyable to remove.
If any letters are on the paint use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften them first. Using just a razor blade on paint can risk chipping, shaving the paint. Patience is the entire key to vinyl removal, don't rush it.
If a glue residue is left over, acetone, paint thinner, lacquer thinner or even a good wax will remove this. If a chemical is used you will need to clean the glass afterwards with wash fluid or windex.
