I just got Photoshop CS3. I've used Photoshop for touching up photos, but I don't know where to even start to create something. I got a book that talks about layers and such, but it doesn't tell me what to do with them. I plan on somehow creating a background, adding pictures, and then adding text. Can anyone tell me how to do this, or at least how to get started? Or is there a tutorial out there that would show me step-by-step instructions without assuming that I know what I am doing?
